A SEA OF WHITE

Several loads of washed baptismal clothes and towels hanging to dry is a lovely sight indeed!  All this "white" is a sign of good things that have happened!

On May 24th, 2026, Vanaak, Soknem, Long Heng, and Ranee all joined on the gospel covenant path as a family.  What a happy excitement to see this elect family confidently and joyfully make this decision to be baptized!  At their request, Jim had the privilege of blessing both parents with the gift of the Holy Ghost.  (Pres. Den blessed the children.)  I felt a real witness as those blessings were pronounced.

We have had the privilege of joining the Elders on some of the visits to their home.  They eagerly ask questions with the intent to learn in faith.  A couple of months ago, El. Draper whispered that I could extend a baptismal invitation to them!  Yes, ME!  Soknem, the mom, seems to especially connect with me.  Funny how so much can be communicated with limited language and the loving help of elders translating!  I felt so honored!

El. Draper, El. Francis, and now El. Paletu'a have been the teaching elders.  Several times we have enjoyed food at their home, as they shared their generous hospitality.  In addition, they come to the church English classes during the week.  Quite often, they are helping in behind-the-scenes ways: sweeping the floor, cutting up fruit, carrying things up the stairs, helping children in the classes, etc.  They are already happily involved with our group!

At the service, I had the Primary children sing, "When I Am Baptized."  Not an easy feat, but it went really well! Love the opportunity to put those Primary chorister skills into action!  After, we ate carrot pineapple muffins (all 136 baked in our little toaster oven!) and drank fruit juice.

One of our best mission days ever!!
