FEET WASHING
Nov. 5, 2025 - Feet Washing
We were invited to dinner with SoPeah and Needah's family, all nonmembers (we know the girls from English Connect class). They were THRILLED that we came!! Their mom, Deun, couldn't stop smiling and making sure we were comfortable in every way. She prepared a great fried rice dinner and sat right next to me while I ate, hugging me and watching that I had everything offered (she did not eat with us). These are the neighbors of the family we visited last week, all part of the the very poor little shack-like home neighborhood. I heard they actually posted our picture with them on Facebook! We honored them by being there. We felt honored by their love.
I was especially touched that she help guide us through the mud on our way out to make sure we didn't slip. As we finished, she led us over to a large cistern with collected rain water. She knelt down and poured water over our shoes and our feet until they were clean from the mud. Humblest of circumstances; greatest of love.
Nov. 6, 2025 - First Prayer!
BIG accomplishment today!!!.....I said my first prayer in Khmei with native people!!! I prayed and practice so much beforehand. It shouldn't have been such a big deal, but my mind tends to blank out in the moment. We were at the Pheakday group with our favorite three "mings" (aunts), so I felt in a comfortable environment. Today, the prayer flowed well, and my confidence increased. SOOOOO grateful. I stuck to basics, something like: "Dear Heavenly Father; We thank Thee for this opportunity to meet together; Please bless us to feel Thy love; Please help us learn Thy truth....." Simple, but from the heart. And I think they actually understood me!!

Happy 2-month mission birthday!!! A tithe of our service time has been reached!!
Other Spiritual Highlights of the Week, Nov. 1-8
-Pheakday, Pohun, and Rosaa all made it to church at Kamboul!! SOOO exciting!! That is a very long distance for them. So grateful they made the effort. They came on a special day when a big pile of neck ties was being shared after the meeting. They dived right in! I was also able to share some reading glasses with them. Special Sunday!
-Got to go on an exchange with El. Acton and El. Madrid and visit Chai Huet. We sensed a real softening of heart as we shared about the restoration. So grateful we could bear testimony. I believe he felt the spirit, too. It was our best meeting ever with him.
-We were involved with service with Thida. She was moving (just across the street). Stuff moved to garbage and big clean-up. Crazy amount of dirt people are comfortably living in. Loved just visiting with her. She is a dear friend.
-We had our final district meeting of this transfer, which is always a testimony meeting. Very spiritual meeting. I just love these young missionaries. They are solid and full of faith. I shared a few thoughts on how no one is forgotten and the daily ordinary is actually extraordinary. Jim shared about "doves at the window." Love this image.
