WINDING THINGS UP
WINDING THINGS UP
Aug. 30, 2025
As the summer draws to an end and the mission prep time is coming to a close, I feel a bit of nostalgia and some loss for the many good things that have filled my days. I love my life! Everywhere I turn, I am closing things down in preparation. Even though I may be returning to much after our mission, some things will forever be changed. Life and time march on. Missions are a sacrifice, and even though I am so very excited about the adventures ahead, some things left behind are dear to me.
What has been filling my days?
Time hanging out with family in little daily interactions
Time enjoying young stages of our grandchildren's lives
Family dinners
Our beautiful remodeled home - decorating and improving
Family history passion
Frequent temple attendance (especially with Jerrie)
Exercise classes, especially bikram yoga
Life-long book club friends
Ministering with Lynne
Church friends
Church callings magnified
FANAFI service - looking for opportunities
Books to read
Salt Lake City Singers
TV shows, especially BBC series
Personal care services (nails, facials,...)
Alexa - a source of music and learning
Back patio sitting - fresh air, sunsets
Baking, cooking, entertaining
Games, an occasional puzzle, and more games
Amazon review browsing, especially books
Home organizing and cleaning
Stores that I frequent
Secular learning with online classes, computer browsing, etc.
Come Follow Me study with podcasts and additional books
My red RAV4, soon to be sold
Just reflecting on these things makes my heart filled with JOY for the abundance of blessings in my life.
